The Village of Tickfaw Council met in a monthly Council Meeting at 5:00 PM on August 12, 2025. Mayor Lamonte was not present, Councilman Galofaro, Councilman Fedele, Councilman Lemay, Chief DiBenedetto, and Attorney Trippi all were present. The invocation was done by Mayor Pro Tem Galofaro followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

a.)   Rene’ Casadaban

-         Motion to remove from Agenda made by Fedele 2nd Lemay Votes (2)

b.)  Michael Lemay

-         Planning and Zoning have made a recommendation to allow Mr. Lemay to tear down house on Campo and 442 and replace it with a new trailer.

-         Motion to approve by Fedele 2nd Galofaro Votes (2)

6.     Public Input-ANYONE WISHING TO ADDRESS ANY ITEM ON THE AGENDA

7.     Approve Monthly Council Meeting Minutes for July 8th, 2025.

-Motion to approve by Fedele 2nd Lemay Votes (2)

8.     Old Business- 

a)     Dorothy Lane Matter

-         Village Attorney is in the process of subpoenaing records

b)    Update on Love’s Truck Stop

-         Resolution for State Capital Outlay funding presented

-         Motion to adopt resolution made by Fedele 2nd Lemay Votes (2)

c)     Annexation of El Ranchito Restaurant and Flea Market 

-         This matter was set for Public Hearing September 9, 2025, at 4:45pm

-         Motion to set Public Hearing for September 9, 2025, at 4:45 made by Fedele 2nd Lemay Votes (2)

9.     New Business-

    a.) Approve Italian Festival schedule for City Hall usage

        - Motion was made to approve the use of city hall by Fedele 2nd Lemay Votes (2)

    b.) Approve campers being parked by tracks during Italian Festival

- Motion was made to table this matter until the next Council Meeting on

  September 9, 2025, at 5pm by Fedele 2nd Lemay Votes (2)

- Police Chief investigated multiple calls received during the month.
